Meet the Scientist – Prof Aoife Lowery

Professor Lowery is like a detective who studies two types of sicknesses called breast cancer and endocrine cancer. She wants to know why they start and how they come back. She also looks at how every sickness can be a little different from another, which can help doctors decide the best way to help. Plus, she’s finding new ways to help people feel better after they’ve been sick by using special cells from our own body fat.
